Hello, Carthage! I, Wesley Schemmer, am excited to serve this carefully-selected community as your dentist. Carthage reminds me of my hometown--rural people, rural values. It is my promise to serve and treat you all with the warmth and gentleness that you deserve. My practice philosophy is that your comfort is always my top priority, which will allow me to deliver you the highest quality of care. Raised on a farm in Higginsville, MO, my family impressed on me a strong work ethic and Christian values. I attended the University of Missouri--Kansas City graduating with honors, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and organic chemistry research experience having military applications. Proudly a graduate of the prestigious UMKC School of Dentistry, I served three years as a public health dentist to give back to the community. Since then, I have worked in a private practice setting with a personal focus to excel in the art of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside of my career, I have been blessed with a supportive and loving wife and three children. Spending time with our kids and extended family is what we find most enriching in life. In our free time, we love keeping our kids involved in school, church, and sports year-round. Weekends may also include friendly and fierce board game competitions and, God-willing, a Chiefs win on football Sundays.
